In honor of Corporal Nicholas James Dieruf, a memorial fund has been established to benefit military families across the globe. Active soldiers' salaries are far from substantial, many times allowing small problems to become financial burdens (car repairs, replacing washer or dryer, etc.). Likewise, many military men and women are in the reserves with other occupations that pay more than that of a soldier. When called into service, a reduction in income is almost imminent. This fund will help supplement these unforeseen events so that the families of our soldiers aren't suffering financially.

All monies raised through the Cpl Nich Dieruf Memorial Fund are filtered to military families through our fund's partner, another Kentucky based fund, USA Cares (www.usacares.us). Together these two funds work to provide financial and emotional support for military families. USA Cares acts as the operational arm while the Cpl Nich Dieruf Fund acts as an endowment to ensure both funds can remain active for many years.

Nich's family will not receive donations from this fund, but instead organized it for other soldiers and their families who are less fortunate. There isn't a minimum donation amount required, for every dollar is greatly appreciated.

Both the Cpl Nich Dieruf Fund and USA Cares, Incorporated, are Kentucky-based nonprofit organizations recognized by the US Internal Revenue Service as tax exempt under the provisions of IRS Section 501(c)(3). Donations received by either fund may offer the contributing individual or corporation the greatest tax benefits allowed by law. Please consult your tax advisor if you have any questions.
